Background & approach
I'm Jelle, the person behind Hummus Happens. I shoot and style food for small restaurants and hospitality brands — from a single hero shot for a new menu item to a full set for a rebrand. I care about making food look exactly as good on screen as it tastes on the plate, with a style that's bold, warm and a little painterly. I also regularly shoot recipe photography for the Nederlandse Vegetariërsbond (the Dutch Vegetarian Society).
